And Then There Was Cole - 6 months today

Dear Cole,

You have white hair. Not blonde. WHITE. It's getting harder and harder to convince RJ that there is nothing suspicious about your paternity. I don't know where you get it. I mean, my grandma has white hair, but she's 92.

We were going to start you on solids a couple of weeks ago, but something always comes up and we keep delaying it. At this rate, you could be 12 before you start solids. It might be awkward showing up to school with chicken broth and a bottle of milk at that age, so we'll try harder. I want Daddy to be there because it is such a cute stage and always entertaining to see the faces that babies pull when trying food for the first time, so weekdays are out. We'll give it an honest go this weekend.

You're drooling on anything and everything. We can't keep up, you're like a water tap. If I'm not careful, you could flood the house.

You still smile at anything and everything and are a good sleeper. So, you rock. We've pretty much broken you of the 5.30 start to the day, but it's unfortunate that since I am putting it in writing, I probably just jinxed myself. Generally, you go to bed at 6.30pm and wake at 6.10am.

You love doing ab exercises -- you actually look like you've got a baby six pack. Like 6 of those little mini cokes, not a six pack of beer. You'll take after your dad for sure (the blonde mailman, er, just kidding) -- you'll be lean but muscular.

Keep up the good work, scooch,
Mommy and Daddy
