And Then There Was Cole - 2 months old

Dear Cole,

Beautiful boy! You are amazing and we are perplexed at how a baby can be so perfect! You are now a chubster... you may have had a slow start to the weight gain, but now with 400gm per week (yes, I actually think that's a pound), your belly and arms have lots of meat on them. You still have your wee chicken legs, but I think that's just the way you're built (no butt too, just like your daddy, tee hee).

You are nursing every 3 hours during the day, your longest stretch is usually from 5pm to 10pm (yah, thanks, that's SO NOT helpful!), and then 2am, 5.30am, 8am. Needless to say, the sleep deprivation is kicking in. But, I'll give you a break, Youngling, as you are only 2 months old.

You are such a sweetie and such a happy baby. The only time you cry (and it's more a "cry out" than a cry) is when you wake up and want to be fed. Then, you are content and SMILEY and just check things out. You're now over the whole "wind hits the willy" thing and are no longer dialling 000 every time I try to change your nappy. And, bathtime isn't a drama anymore, so you are really growing up, little one.

You like being cuddled and can fall asleep on anyone's chest. And, you are still a good sleeper (THANK YOU). You'll only be awake for about an hour before we put you back in your cot for two. You're very good at being on your tummy and really enjoy that outlook on life!

Love you little man,
Mommy and Daddy
